She is known for transformational leadership, and her charismatic approach to building teams for optimal performance. Her passion is curating leaders who can lead with competence, curiosity and compassion in any industry, at any age, for every background.
About
Monica Lee is a leader for ultra performance, she thrives in high stakes,
high pressure organizations and has led teams and organizations in this
ecosystem for nearly 30 years. She is passionate about lending her
experiences to cultivate leaders who normalize optimal team performance.
Monica is the former Chief of Staff for NASA Johnson Space Center in
Houston, TX where she was the third highest ranked woman at the space
center. Monica has devoted decades to expand human space exploration.
Monica has worked over 3000 hours in NASA’s Mission Control Center
operating the International Space Station, and for years, she traveled to
Russia negotiating space contracts valued at over $4.4 Billion dollars, the
largest international contract in the NASA agency.
Monica’s affinity for solving technical challenges has led her to the
Cybersecurity industry, as its profound impact on our daily lives has yet to
reach its pinnacle. She manages cybersecurity operations for critical
business lines whose infrastrure steadiness delicately upholds our quality
of life. Monica is actively engaging in the ethical implementation of AI and
Large Language Models, who’s maturation has the capability to shape and
reformat our world.
She is a published research scientists whose works can be found among
the Harvard and Smithsonian Center for Astrophysics.
Her technical acuity and passion have led her to become a sought after
keynote speaker on leadership both nationally and internationally on
Strategic Leadership, Data Driven Decision Making, Coalition Building,
Cultivating Synergies and other sectors of organizational structures.
By the age of 21, Monica earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Physics
from Southern University in Baton Rouge, LA and she holds a Master’s in
Business Administration from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
Monica is an Advisory Board member at the MIT Sloan School of Business
Leadership Institute, Advisory Council Member for the Houston Arts
Alliance and Board Emeritus for the Pangea Network. She is a visiting
lecturer at the MIT Sloan School of Business.
She is a passionate advocate for girls to pursue STEM careers. Her life
serves as an aspiration to her mentees and her love is traveling the world
inspiring youth to pursue academic excellence.
Leadership isn’t always top down, but the reflection of the leader’s ethics,
standards and empathy should be visible in every employee.
Monica will teach the science of principled, innovative leadership and the
“Sweet Spot” of knowing when to be the dove and when to be the eagle.
