About
Santosh Vetticaden is a biotech/pharma industry leader with over 25 years of experience in pharma/biotech with a passion for entrepreneurial initiatives. He has previously served as the Chief Medical Officer for over 5 public companies and has held key leadership positions at global pharmaceutical companies including Johnson & Johnson and Sanofi. Santosh’s leadership roles have spanned organizations small and large and across the United States on both coasts.
Santosh emigrated to the United States for education opportunities and his journey reflects a common immigrant story of arriving with no personal financial resources and relying on personal abilities and drive to succeed. Santosh is a founder, investor and currently a mentor for startups for the National Institute of Aging Startup Challenge. As an investor he is actively engaged with the NuFund Venture Group in San Diego. Santosh serves on the board of various non-profit organizations including Heluna Health which has an emphasis on population health and also volunteers as a physician.
Santosh holds an MBA from MIT’s Sloan School of Management, a MD from the University of Maryland with a residency in internal medicine at the Baylor College of Medicine, and a PhD in pharmaceutical sciences from Virginia Commonwealth University.
