Dottie Pepper

Accomplished LPGA champion with 17 wins including 2 majors, award-winning broadcaster for CBS Sports covering major golf championships, and passionate mentor driven by a lifelong pursuit of excellence rooted in a sporting family legacy.

About

Dottie Pepper was born in Saratoga Springs, NY into a sporting family. Her father, Don, is a former major league baseball player and her mother, Lynn, came from a family that spent a lifetime in the ski industry. Sports are simply in Dottie’s DNA.

Dottie was the first on either side of her family to earn a four-year college degree, a BA in Health and Exercise Science from Furman University in 1987, where she was a three-time All-American on the women’s golf team.

Later in 1987, Dottie earned her LPGA (Ladies Professional Golf Association) Tour card, embarking on a playing career that took her around the world for 17 years and resulted in a total of 17 LPGA wins (including 2 major championships), an additional victory on the Japanese LPGA Tour, and other significant wins in international and mixed format golf competitions.

Since retiring from the LPGA in July 2004, Dottie has been a member of 4 broadcast networks, analyzing and reporting on nearly every level of golf competition across the globe. She is currently the lead walking reporter at CBS Sports, covering the PGA Tour, Masters Tournament, and PGA Championship. She also served three years as an independent board member of the PGA of America.

This extensive background in sports and television has placed Dottie in a position to be surrounded by people who aspire to and achieve excellence on a daily basis; Dottie is driven to emulate and refine those qualities for herself. She has also been in a position to mentor many youngsters in both arenas, a means of giving back, as so many had done for her. Dottie is a big fan of fast cars, farmers markets, experimenting in the kitchen, contemporary Christian music, dogs, skiing and balance in life.

Through The Sweet Spot Leader program, Dottie seeks to pass along her experience and wisdom to those who, like her, are dedicated to leading transformational change to make our world a better place for everyone.
